Vandaag om 18.00 uur Nederlandse tijd begon Mac World Expo 2009 in San Fransisco. Dit is het event waar Apple altijd nieuwe producten aankondigd. Al tijden gaan er geruchten rond over een iPhone Nano, Tom Tom voor de iPhone en nog veel meer dingen. Persoonlijk hoopte ik op nieuwe iMacs, waardoor de huidige goedkoper zouden worden. Helaas.. geen nieuwe iMacs. Maar wel de nieuwe 17" MacBook Pro, met vette specs....!! Lees snel verder..!
De batterij
De meest opvallende aankondiging hierover gaat over de batterij. Normaal zijn die verwisselbaar, maar deze zit vast. Ja vast! Net als de batterij van de iPhone. Die gaat overigens niet lang mee: bij goed gebruik zo'n 8 uur. En laat dit nou net de duur van de batterij van de Macbook zijn. 8 uur!! Dat is de langste batterijduur voor een laptop ooit! Doordat ie vast zit, hebben ze hem groter gemaakt en hierdoor is meer capaciteit mogelijk.

De dikte oftewel de dunste.
De Macbook Pro is tevens de dunste 17-inch laptop ooit gemaakt! 0,98 inch, omgerekend ongeveer 2,5 centimeter! Vergeleken met de Macbook Air toch nog 0,5 cm dikker, maar toch!

Grafisch
Met twee NVIDIA GeForce (9400M en 9600M GT) videokaarten aan boord, een 1920x1200 pixels tellend beeldscherm en het Multi-Touch trackpad is het echt een (grafische) topper!
"The entire trackpad is the button, so you can click anywhere. Without a separate button, your hands have 39 percent more room to move on the large, silky glass surface. Use two fingers to scroll up and down a page. Pinch to zoom in and out. Rotate an image with your fingertips. Swipe with three fingers to flip through your photo libraries. Eind januari 2008 komt hij uit voor de prijs van bijna 2.800,- dollar. Omgerekend dus zo'n 2.100,- euro.
Nou begin ik toch echt te twijfelen: had ik besloten om voor de 24" iMac te gaan, komt binnenkort deze mobiele tijger uit... Toch maar wachten dan?? Wat zou jij doen?
